Dear Parents,
4 more get-ups! The
balloon pop has been fun!
"Look Miss Gallagher! It goes small to BIG!" ( I seriously didn't plan that....actually, not so sure I COULD plan that!) |
This is the
first year I have done anything like this and with a few tweaks, I think I will
do it again next year! Good stuff. Below are some pictures of some of the
different activities.
"Reading on a blanket, in our shades..." |
"This book is very interesting!" |
"It's a good book!" |
Crazy socks and shoes |
Sidewalk Spelling! |
"It's FUN, Miss Gallagher!" |
"It was fun, but using the chalk was harder that using a pencil, Miss G." |
In the parent letter that was sent home today, there was a
reminder of our last test of the year, our spelling test (which will be on Wednesday). Thank you for making sure that your kiddo is
prepared.
Please send in a big garbage bag or other bag on Thursday,
which will be our “clean out” day. Your
firstie will also probably need some help with those big ol’ full bags on that
day.
Field Day is also on Thursday and please dress your firstie
appropriately. The different activities
will be inside and outside, and there will be running and just MOVING a
lot. If you want to send in an extra
water bottle, that is totally fine, but it will be your firstie’s
responsibility to carry it around and not lose it (I suggest a plastic water
bottle that you will not be upset about losing….JUST in CASE!). Our lunch for Field Day will be hot dogs,
chips, etc, and we will be eating out at the pavilion. We will be eating in shifts, and we will be
eating around 11:30. I believe that the
Field Day activities will be kicking off around 12:30.
Friday, the firsties will be receiving their report cards,
their end of the year binders, and various awards, so they will need to have
their backpacks with them on that last day.
The awards assembly will begin around 8:30 and Chapel will follow that
around 10:00. You are more than welcome
to attend both.
One more blog on Thursday and that's a WRAP!
Have a great week!
Miss Gallagher
