Dear Parents,
It's fall! It finally feels like fall! (Happy dance, happy dance!) It
is my ABSOLUTE favorite season! The crisp fall air, Friday night football
games, apples, the leaves changing colors, warm and cozy clothes, bonfires,
etc....I just LOVE it all! I am SO thankful to live in a part of the country
that gets to experience this part of God's beautiful creation!
In Religion this morning, we continued to learn more about Moses and
Pharaoh. We learned that God took care of His people and Moses during a
very difficult time and how He used Moses to be a leader. We then talked
about the different leaders that God puts into our lives. Did you see the
picture that your firstie brought home today? What did you see on the
front? A cross? The cross is a reminder of the ultimate leader that
we have in our lives, Jesus. Thank God we have Him to lead us and help us
to learn and grow!
For spelling this week, our words are a review of all of the short
vowels. I dictated the words to them today (without reviewing them at all beforehand), and they did quite
well! Thanks for continuing to work your
kiddo at home!
In Social Studies, we began a new unit about locations and where we
live! Our city, our state, our country,
the continent that we live on….the last one being a little tricky for firsties
to remember. We watched a video to help
us remember and you can view it by clicking on the link below…

Good stuff!
In the parent letter that I sent home today, I forgot to mention that our
class Book Order is due THIS Friday. If
you going to write a check, please make it out to Scholastic Book Clubs. Don’t forget that books make great gifts and
even little stocking stuffers!
Blessings! See you in the morning!
