Dear Parents,
In Religion we have been learning about some of the
different miracles that Jesus performed; Jesus healing people, Jesus stopping
the storm (when He was with His disciples), Jesus feeding more than 5,000
people with just a few pieces of food (And there was food LEFTOVER!), Jesus
bringing the guard’s daughter back to life…..just to name a few. In learning about all of these different
miracles, we have learned how powerful Jesus really is and that He really IS
God. We talked last week about how Jesus
said that He is the bread life. Did your
firstie bring home this message on little white circles? Ask what the little white circles represented
and also ask what Jesus meant when He said that.
In Math we have been working hard on subtracting. Firsties are encouraged to use their hundred
charts to help with subtracting by 10’s, but if it can be done mentally, that
is encouraged too! Again, practice with your kiddo. The more practice they get, the easier it
will become.
We had some more secret readers last week! Thank you to all that were able to come and
read to us! We enjoyed the time that you
were able to give us, so much!

One of my friends (and a teacher as well), Mrs. KIm Bublitz came and read two books to the firsties! |

The Social Studies Fair went very well! Thank you for helping and working with your
firstie so that they could complete the majority of their project by
themselves! I don’t know about them, but
I learned a little more about each of the first graders and a lot about the
people that they chose to do a time on.
If you were not able to attend the Fair, below are a few pictures of the
time lines, all set up and ready to be viewed.
And I also took a few candid pictures on Friday night...
Have a great week as we continue to travel through this Lenten season.
Blessings!
Miss Gallagher
