Dear Parents,
Whew! What a week it
was! I said several times this week,
that I wonder if there is such a thing as “Residual Super Moon Behavior”
(otherwise known as RSMB)? Because if
there isn’t such a thing, there should be….the firsties demonstrated it all
week! I am hoping that with our field trip and
Advent service next week, it will break up the week enough that they will be
able to settle and focus (Are you shaking your head right now? Are you rolling your eyes? Because I don’t blame
you if you are….! A teacher can only hope….right?)!
Today we finished up our Religion book and learned about the
monument that the Israelites created to help remember what God did for
them. The firsties created one too!
There are twelve stones to represent the 12
stones that were used in the original monument. It is a good reminder for us
too, “The Lord is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
Speaking of memory, please make sure your firstie is
learning the Bible reference along with the verse. I would like them to get in this habit early!
Thank you for helping with this!
Just a reminder that all students in the school are invited to make an ornament to put on the tree that is in the school lobby (Sadly, it is bare right now…). The ornament should be a homemade ornament, and please know that it will be returned after Christmas!
Blessings on your weekend….stay warm!
Miss Gallagher
