Dear Parents,
Happy Thursday! Aren’t
you glad that the sun is shining?! Now if it would only get a little warmer
outside….but I am not really complaining, I promise!
Ask your firstie who read us a story at story time today! (I only wish that I had found this sooner! This
would have been perfect to include in National Reading Month!) There is a
program where astronauts read children’s books from the International Space
Station…so very cool!! Ask your firstie what the astronaut was doing when she
was reading the story….! They were
pretty amazed…
How are the STEAM projects coming along? I am so excited to
see how everyone’s experiments came out!
Remember the boards can be brought in earlier than Wednesday, but are
DUE by Wednesday. If the experiment is able to be displayed, that can also be
brought in to show next to or in front of the board. I also can put the book next to the board as
a part of the display, too! Please send in the book by Wednesday. The STEAM Fair is a week from today;
6:30-8:00 in the gym. Hope to see you
there!
Book orders are due by next Friday, the 27th. You can order online and if you spend $5.00,
you can use the coupon that I sent home for a free book (with a value of up to
$5.00).
Tomorrow is HAT day!
Each student may wear a hat if a dollar is brought in for the Student
Council. Not sure which hat I will wear,
but rumor has it that Mrs. Parsons is going to be wearing a VERY colorful one.
Please continue to work on the different hands on an analog
clock. We learned about time to the “half hour”. They are doing well but the more practice,
the better!
Memory test and spelling test tomorrow and please help your
firstie remember to bring back their “take home story bag”.
Looking ahead….
we are going to be doing a pretty neat Mother’s
Day Project and will need $3.00 per child, to offset the cost. The
moola doesn’t need to be in right away, just sometime before the beginning of
May. Thank you!
Blessings on the rest of your evening!
In the risen Christ,
Miss Gallagher
