Dear Parents,
How was your Tuesday? It seems that the firsties had ants in their pants or something today, because wowie, wow, wow did many of them have a hard time sitting still and being quiet!  It can’t be “spring fever” because it’s still cold outside!  I don’t know but I am hoping that the rest of the week goes better….we have a  lot of learning to do!

Monday, our secret reader was Mrs. Chambers, and she read us a new story about one of our favorite book characters…Knuffle Bunny!
Today, Mrs. Herbolsheimer (with special guest, Grant’s little brother, Caleb) read us a story called “Dragons Love Tacos”.  I mean, who DOESN’T love tacos?!? Thank you to our secret readers!

Did your firstie come home yesterday with a band-aid? Was there an explanation? We learned yesterday about Jesus healing a crippled man.  We learned that not only did Jesus heal the man’s physical sickness, but he also healed the man’s sin-sickness.  We learned that we are ALL infected with sin-sickness, but have been healed through Jesus dying on the cross.  The band-aid was a reminder that we have been healed!

This coming weekend is St. Patrick’s Day! Because we are celebrating Reading Month with other fun things on Friday, we will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on Monday.  If you would like to send in something green to share with the whole class, that would be awesome (some examples would be  green apples, green pencils, green stickers, green grapes, etc…)!  Firsties can also wear green…lots of green!

Please keep those prayers coming….these last few weeks have been incredibly difficult.  Today one of the firsties asked me if I got a new dog yet.  Another firstie said that maybe they should get me a new dog for my birthday (which isn’t actually until AFTER school is out… whew!).  They are so sweet and just want to make it all okay for me. It’s going to take me awhile for things to be okay again.  So, I just continue to ask for your prayers.
Blessings on your evening!
Miss Gallagher
