Dear Parents,
We wrapped up our
Reading Month today with our final “secret reader” (Mrs. Anderson with special guest, Delia...).
She read to us a story about the legend of the game, "Rock, Paper, Scissors".... |
Mrs. Wuerfel read the story "Danny and the Dinosaur", which was a book from MY childhood....Love it! |
Pastor Sherry read us a story called "Zoop!", which was a super fun participation book...the firsties loved it! |
Look at those smiles! |
Mrs. Giffel read us a story about a family that worked together to buy their mother a comfy chair. |
Thank you for all that were able to come and share
a book with us! It definitely helped to
make our month lots more special.
Did your firstie
tell you that we heard a book that was read to us from outer space?!?!? There is a reading program that video tapes astronauts
reading from the international space station.
It is SO COOL.
We heard a story
about a dog named Max who went to the moon (not a true story). If you want to check it out, click on the
link below!
The winners of the
door decorating contest has been announced!
3rd place….PRESCHOOL (they received a $25.00 gift card to
Barnes and Noble)!
2nd place…….FIRST
GRADE (we received a $50.00 gift card to Barnes and Noble)!!!
1st

Noble)!
So fun and so
exciting to be able to purchase more books for our classroom (you know me and
my love of books….!!!).
In Social Studies
we have been studying about continents, countries, states, landforms, bodies of
water, etc…A few years ago I found this FANTASTIC video created by a teacher,
to help kids remember what the 7 continents of the world are. For your viewing pleasure…. (and you just
might laugh too…..!)
The Operetta
rehearsals have been good! I am excited
to share this story with all of you and our “special people” tomorrow.
Finally, did you know that we had a bunch of pirates that visited our classroom yesterday? Good thing they were cute and friendly...
I told him to look "mean".....LOL! |
Blessings on your
spring break! Safe travels!
Maybe I will see you
around town?
Miss Gallagher
