Dear Parents,
Happy Tuesday!
Our “Secret Readers” continue!  Today, Pastor Sherry came and read to us about mice that lived in a church.  The mice were living in the organ pipes and so they "learned" about Lent, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter (Pastor even used voices when he read to us! Ha!).
Yesterday Mrs. Schaefer read us a story about a monster under the bed (She used voices too….!).
Last week Mrs. Damore read us the story “The Kissing Hand”.

We are SO enjoying having guests come and read to us!  Thank you!

Last Friday, our “Flashlight Friday” turned into, “let’s take our spelling test by flashlight”!  It was something different and they really seemed to enjoy it (EVERYONE did well on their test too!)!  I don’t know if we will be able to do it again…we’ll see!  Make sure to send a flashlight with your firstie on Friday.
Did your firstie tell you about their Pen Pal letters that arrived last Friday?! They were so excited to read them!  We are started answering them yesterday and will continue to do so, over the next week or two (I would like to have them in the mail by the time we go on our Spring Break).

In Religion class we are learning about some of the miracles that Jesus performed while He was here on earth.  We have learned about Jesus stilling a storm (showing that He has power over nature (wind and water)), we learned about Him bringing a little girl back to life (showing that He has power over death), and today we learned of the miracle of feeding the 5,000 (well, it was more than 5,000!).  There were so many times that Jesus showed that He was God! Though it can be hard for us to see in our own lives and even harder to convey to our kiddos, God works miracles still today.  He is crazy about each and every one of us!
God's beauty!
Blessings on your next few days and I will see some of you around noonish on Thursday for our Field Trip!
