Dear Parents,
One week left!  The firsties are having a great time with our “Balloon Pop” activities!
Reading outside was a BIG hit!

They also LOVED "sidewalk spelling"!  And I quote..."Miss Gallagher, this is SO MUCH FUN!"

Making the pinwheels was a little more of a challenge than I thought, but I think that they will like the finished product (I brought them home to finish them over the weekend...).

Our Balloon Pop #4 activity is watching a movie with popcorn.  No need to send in anything.

On Friday afternoon, the 3rd graders came in and read stories that they wrote, to the firsties.  It was great to see how they interacted!

In Religion class we have been learning about some of the different parables that Jesus used to teach about God’s love.  Ask your firstie what a parable is… (an earthly story with a heavenly meaning).

Money is what we will be learning about in Math, during this last week.  If possible, have your firstie work with money over the summer.  Have them practice with change, especially counting it!

The Trinity Community Garden is ready to be planted!  It’s looking good!  We are going to plant on Wednesday afternoon (with the rain date on Thursday morning).  Please make sure to send in grubby clothes and shoes with your kiddo.

Because we are not having an awards assembly this year for the whole school, we will be doing our own awards in our classroom on Wednesday.  Thursday will be our “clean out” day.  Please send in an extra bag (or two), so that all of their stuff can go home on Thursday.

Thursday is also Field Day!  Please send in sunscreen with your firstie if you want your kiddo to wear some.  We are not allowed to share sunscreen!

Please continue to check Fast Direct for any other important info.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Miss Gallagher
